BBQ
A couple of weekends ago we had a bbq with some friends of ours. It was so fun to have the 1st bbq of the season and kick of summer. We played some ladder ball, ate lots of good food, visited with friends and enjoyed each others company.
The kids were very entertained by Justin & Shanny's RAZR and could not wait for their turns to "drive" it.
Can I just say this little girl is one of my all time favorite little girls to photograph!!! She is just so dang adorable!!
We are so excited for lots more bbq's this summer and spending lots of time with friends and in the mountains!!!

MaDi'S b-DaY
today is my cute niece Madi's 3rd bday, my how time flies. unfortunately we were unable to make it up to her birthday party due to some previous plans so we had her over for dinner and had our own little party for her on thursday. she was pretty excited to get a birthday present early.
this is madi with her cake i made her, its not nearly as fancy as my sister can do but i thought it turned out pretty cute and she enjoyed it and thats all i really cared about.
oh how i love this little girl!! i watched madi when she was tiny tiny so her mom could continue going to school and i will always love those times i was able to spend with her. she has such a sweet spirit and can light up any room with her big personality. i hope you have a great birthday mad's i am sad i was not able to spend it with you. i love you!!!

Our yard
We planted a tree a week or so ago, unfortunately I don't know that it's going to make it quite yet, so far not looking promising.
Here is Jax and I helping Kip how we help best...by just staying out of the way!! Jax supervises and I take the pictures to document all the fun we are having, or at least I was having fun, but then I wasn't the one digging a whole!
We also were able to get a fence about a month ago and Jax is absolutely loving his new found freedom and will not even give his kennel the time of day anymore even if it is pouring outside!! It looks great and I have really enjoyed being able to run around with Jax in the yard without being tripped by his rope!!
