JaX 1st Dr visit

You may or may not know that I have an issue with vets & have not trusted them for years, so Jax does not go seem the vet ever!!  I finally had to cave & take him in for a sore he had on the side of his face.  He ended up having what is called a hot spot which is a spot of infection under the skin that seeps and just continues to get bigger.  The treatment...shave the area, antibiotics and the cone of shame!!  The had to sedate him to shave the area, it was hilarious trying to get him in the Rodeo after with the cone on since he was traumatized, Kip was at work, it took me pulling him while carrying Briele's carseat with 2 of the girls from the vet pushing him to get him in, haha!!  By the time he was done wearing the cone he didn't even care he would just push on things expecting them to move for him.

6 MoNtHs

I can't believe that Briele is already 6 months old!!  She is SO much fun!!  She is topping the scales at 14 lbs 15 oz (40%) & 26 in (60%).  She is such a happy girl & very rarely cries.  She is an awesome sleeper & is loving solid foods.  She has the army crawl down & can really cruise!!  I love watching her personality develop!!  I love you SO much sweet girl!!

Memorial Day Weekend

For memorial weekend we were lucky enough to snag a spot up in Malad which is one of our favorite spots to camp.  We were joined by the Winn clan and had a great time despite the rain & cold.  The 2 minute rzr ride that put Briele to sleep was all the rzr riding she got to do that trip since the weather was not cooperating, but we had our own little party in the trailer.

4 months

Briele is now 4 months old, time is going by so fast. She is seriously so much fun!!  She finally is gaining weight & now weighs 12 lbs 15 oz (25%) & is 24 inches tall (40%).  She is so smiley & is really starting to get interested in toys, remotes, phones...everything!!  I love her so much & wish we could spend all day everyday playing!!  She loves Jax so much & thinks he is just the funniest thing ever.  We started cereal & have also done bananas, she tolerates the cereal & loves the bananas!!!

3 months

I can't believe that I have a 3 month old. Time goes by way to quickly. At 3 months she is weighing in at 11.14, her 3-6 months clothes are still to big to wear & we still have not quite figured out this whole formula thing...but I think we are getting close. We have no schedule at this point but not to worried about it at this point. She is so smiley & loves to play, hates to be alone especially in the backseat of the car.  She loves to stand, has really good head control & is starting to get interested in toys. She is so much FUN!!!  You can't really see the 3 on her shirt but she spit up all over it before we even had a chance to get pictures so I think we will try again this weekend.

soy??

We are now on our 3rd kind of formula with this beautiful girl.  Will soy based finally be the answer??  I sure hope so.  She has not gained any weight in 3 weeks so if soy is our answer then we are probably going to start seeing some serious plumping in the near future. We are totally in love with her & love watching her grow & learn new things.  Now to work on her sleeping habits...any suggestions??

2 MoNtHs

Wow my baby is 2 months old already!!  At her 2 month check-up she was 22 inches long & 11 lbs 12 oz ( I don't think that is accurate though because she was not happy about laying there & I have weighed her a few times at home & she has consistently weighed 11 lbs 4 oz.)  She handled her shots like a trooper, she was more mad that I put her down than she was that she got 3 shots!!  She is so smiley now & such a joy in our lives.  She is a terrible sleeper & I am hoping that one of these days that will change, but regardless she is SO much FUN!!

Briele's 1st sleepover

Briele had her 1st sleepover with her cute cousin Charly.  They were both in bed by 10:30 which was an improvement from the night before when I wasn't able to get just Briele in bed until almost midnight!  The next day we went to lunch at Maddox & went to visit Charly's cute sister Jordyn in the hospital.  It was lots of fun & we can't wait til next time when hopefully Jordyn can join us.

Nursery

This is the nursery I have been saying I would post forever.  I am getting pictures printed for above the crib & have added some pillows that my mother-in-law made out of the extra fabric from the curtains. I have also put a few more decorations on the shelf.  The crib we bought but everything else has come from someone special in her life.  The rocking chair was given to my mom by my dad when I was born, the dresser given to me by my grandparents on the Winn side.  Kip's grandpa made the shelf, the baby shoes hanging from it were Briele's great grandma Catherine's whom she got her middle name from.  The necklace was a great great grandma's & the lamb was Kip's when he was little.  The bow holder I made & it was filled beyond capacity by her cute aunts!!  Oh & don't forget the cute puppy who was there every step of the way while getting this room ready for Briele & had the caulk in his tail to prove just how much he "helped."

Out with the old, in with the new

I blame it on the hormonal imbalance I was experiencing after having a baby but I finally caved & let Kip put our truck up for sale.  Honestly I never really thought it would sell, & for what we wanted to get out of it.  Needless to say after 3 hours on ksl it had sold!! The hormones once again took over & the tears came, I was a little emotionally attached to that truck to say the least. Anyone that knows Kip knows that once he is on a mission he does not stop til its finished. 

He found this beauty of a truck which we are now the proud owners of. We will see what he thinks he needs next!!!

newborn pictures

I am in LOVE with this girl!!  She was actually really good for the most part while we got these pictures.  There were a few *incidents* per say.  She peed on a few things,  & pooped on a few things including in my hand!!  She is SO beautiful & I am so thankful that we were able to capture that in these photos.  They were taken by the talented Jacey Jordan of Jacey Jordan Photography. 1 month

I can't believe that my baby girl is already a month old!! Being a mom is the most fun & exhausting thing ever!!  Briele has gotten so big over the last month.  Its quite the fight getting her to go to bed at night but once she goes to sleep she will sleep for about 6 hours before waking up to eat.  She has us wrapped around her finger already.  We love you Briele & are so excited to watch you grow & learn.
